This: 디스

These: 디즈

대명사 That 과 those는 -가까이 있지 않은 ‘사물’에 대해 말할 때 사용

that과 those는 사람을 칭할 때는 사용하지 않음, They를 사용

지시대명사가 아닌 지시형용사로 that과 those 활용 가능

 

woman: 우먼

women: 위먼

man: 매앤('아'발음)

men: 맨('에'발음)

child: 차일드

children: 췰드런

 

복수 만드는 법

대부분의 명사: -s

'ch/sh/x'로 끝나는 명사:  -es

자음+y: -ies

모음+y: -s

 

그외

 

mouse → mice

 

'oo'가 들어가는 단수 명사는 'ee'로 바뀜

foot → feet

tooth → teeth

goose → geese

 

복수와 단수가 똑같은 경우

fish, sheep
